We had wanted to visit BUNS for a long time. Jack Ballarini is known for his talent, creativity, and unique way of thinking about burgers. So we went to Verona, to his burger joint BUNS, for the launch of his new off-menu: a chicken kimchi sandwich created in collaboration with the people behind Kimchi Pop. We talked with him to understand how he builds his burgers, and it was impossible not to notice the rare passion behind what he does, together with a deep gastronomic knowledge. This is more than a sandwich. It’s a way of turning comfort food into something deeper, without losing the joy of eating it.
