We went to discover what a modern Chinese breakfast is like with Lampo Wu in Milan, who recently opened Dalle 8. During breakfast, Lampo shared with us not only delicious food but also a story – or rather, a legend that reminded us why we love food so much: it’s a symbol of history, tradition, culture, and sometimes even silent protest.

In Milan, there’s a Chinese restaurant we absolutely love called Il Gusto della Nebbia (if you haven’t been there yet, you should!). So when we heard that the same owner, Lampo Wu, was opening a new spot nearby dedicated to Chinese breakfast, we immediately reached out to learn more.
In this new venture, Lampo teams up with his business partner Lia. Talking with them, they told us that in Milan they felt the absence of a place where one could enjoy a modern, authentic Chinese breakfast – something contemporary yet deeply rooted in tradition, much like what you’d find today in China.
